Drawing Interaction of Organizational Variables Affecting on Quality of Working Life in Babol University of Medical Sciences

Background: One of the most important areas of the health sustainable development in human societies is the health sector directly related to human health, and in today's competitive organizations, those which are able to improve their performance can survive. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate and determine the relationship between the quality of work life (QWL) and its organizational variables in Babol University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: In this descriptive- analytic study, the officials and experts of human resources of Babol University of Medical Sciences were selected using judgmental purposive sampling method in Spring 2015. The data were collected using paired comparisons questionnaire and analyzed using mathematical methods and decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) technique.
Findings: The highest and lowest influential variables were QWL (0.790) and psychological empowerment (-1.16) among the studied variables, respectively. According to the importance of variables, the organizational culture (8.49) and occupational stress (6.54) were the most and least important variables in these causal relationships, respectively.
Conclusion: The results showed that according to the experts' opinions, there was a significant relationship between QWL with organizational citizenship behavior, psychological empowerment and organizational culture variables. Accordingly, it is very important to plan for improving the QWL of the staff in Medical Sciences Universities.
